Using Randomization in Self-Organized Synchronization for Wireless Networks

چکیده
The concept of pulse-coupled oscillators for self-organized synchronization has been applied to wireless systems. Putting theory into practice, however, faces certain obstacles, particularly in radio technologies that cannot implement pulses but use common messages interactions between nodes. This raises the question how deal with interference messages. We show can disturb process and propose low-complex, randomization-based techniques address this issue. First, we demonstrate randomly switching two transmit power levels (without increasing average power) expedite synchronization. high-power transmissions temporarily boost network connectivity negligible impact on interference. Second, reduce by blindly distributing over entire oscillator cycle. Instead using a fixed phase at which are sent, each node chooses its own, selected send message. node-specific “fire phase” is contained message permit others compute timing. Third, suggest such management also be beneficial other validate claim Glossy as an example. Our insights may contribute feasible solutions Further work needed gain comprehensive understanding effects randomization develop algorithms adaptability local parameters.

Distributed Greedy Synchronization with Memory in Self-Organized Wireless Network
We investigate distributed periodic discrete time synchronization of networks without centralized control, which can be modeled as a problem of aligning local variables taking values on a circle. We consider local synchronization algorithms, where locally greedy optimization of the local cost function at the node is tempered with a memory, making the fluctuations in node timing slower and impro...

The objective of this work is to analyse performance of unstable mobile nodes with selforganization structures in Delay Tolerant Networks (DTN). This process enables the nodes to utilize their power fairly, and ensures that the links are established between nodes and used to improve the connectivity. In this paper two approaches are proposed: 1. Self-Healing (SH) and 2. Unstable Topology Struct...

The field of wireless sensor networks (WSNs) is an important and challenging research area today. Advancements in sensor networks enable a wide range of environmental monitoring and object tracking applications. Moreover, multihop routing in WSN is affected by new nodes constantly entering/leaving the system. Therefore, biologically inspired algorithms are reviewed and enhanced to tackle proble...
متن کاملDetection Performance in Self-Organized Wireless Sensor Networks
Abstract— One of the key design goals of a wireless sensor network is the ability to detect, in a distributed manner, events of interest. At the same time, it is desired that the network has the ability to self-organize, forming clusters of sensor nodes. In this work, we consider the interaction of the self-organization algorithm and the distributed detection processing. The effects of the conn...
متن کاملSelf-organized synchronization in decentralized power grids.
Robust synchronization (phase locking) of power plants and consumers centrally underlies the stable operation of electric power grids. Despite current attempts to control large-scale networks, even their uncontrolled collective dynamics is not fully understood. Here we analyze conditions enabling self-organized synchronization in oscillator networks that serve as coarse-scale models for power g...
